Zuni Pueblo Attains National Recognition as a ‘MainStreet’
It is very cool that Zuni Pueblo has recently attained national recognition. The pueblo is now the first American Indian “Main Street” in the United States. The project was sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which oversees several New Mexico cultural districts. The preservation of these traditional communities is vital to New Mexico history.
