Thank You for the Warmth
Sometimes it can be hard to tell who really cares in this disconnected world. I truly appreciate those of you who exemplify the qualities of realness. The recent loss of my old friend was hard. Your comments, stories, and warmth helped– so thank you.
I have nothing but love for my mom, dad, and sister. I also appreciate the realest couple I may know– Sahm and Blu. This is a pair unique and afloat amongst a sea of pretenders. A special thanks to my TwiHard Woman, Dr. Sandra, and Mz. Gail– Lord knows you are all some *real* women! Susan Ann Darley, The Mouse, Wendell A. Brown, and Lady Lovely– I send my thanks to you as well.
Henri Nouwen once said “when we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”

Reblogged this on LIFE AND LOVE and commented:
I’m very fond of Felicia. Why? Because she sees with her heart, not just her eyes. That’s why!
