“E” is for…
Was it a sign to come across a small, diamond laced letter “E” on my path this afternoon? It was a good day for me, so maybe? There was a beautiful “E” just waiting to be found by someone. Some people think diamonds are worth a million, but I prefer to find value in other things like happiness.
Maybe the letter stands for euphoria? “E” does induce a feeling of well-being. It could stand for essence. Maybe it is symbolic of the most significant parts of me in a concentrated extract? I guess it could stand for many things right? The most important thing it could stand for may be something I don’t even understand.
It was “epoch” to hold a letter in my hand which could symbolize momentous change. The current is moving. Maybe it stands for change within me or change within others? In the last couple of years, I have become in tune with my inner self. I am starting to understand what makes me happy. You know…the fictitious diamonds I hold in my hand and wear in my heart?
I was so excited to be asked to be a manager for the 2013 Tony Hillerman Writers Conference. Today I had a meeting about the conference. It is an honor to be part of something which touches the lives of hundreds of writers. The meeting went really well. Looking back, I recall the time when I simply volunteered for this conference. Now I am proud that my loyalty and skills have been acknowledged by Jean and Anne.
We have to believe that there is a plan for us. I was meant to hold the letter “E.” The diamonds we come across in life are lost by some, only to be cherished by others. Some people think real diamonds are worth a million. Not I. I extract value from the simplest forms of happiness.Explore posts in the same categories: Awesomeness, Conferences, Connection, Creativity, Mind, New Mexico, Personal Glimpses, Reflection, Symbols and Imagery, Worthy Reads, Writers, Writing
