Black Out

It has been super rainy here in Santa Fe today. I sort of love monsoon season. We had a black out at work about an hour before quitting time. The darkness moved me to poetic thoughts, so I took a break to jot down what came to mind.

No lights. Just darkness. Fade to black. Let chaos take control.

A veil of night + emptiness. Now the silence claims your soul.

Don’t fear the dark. It is comforting to have no mirror for your stare.

When the lights go out, just stand up straight and dare to feel what’s really there.
