Enduring Destruction

I now understand that it takes spiders and people so much time and attention to detail to build intricate webs of life which can be easily destroyed by one toxic breath. I’ve never been one to partake in the destruction of what I have taken the time to build, but should be prepared to endure destruction regardless.

“What win I, if I gain the thing I seek? A dream, a breath, a froth of fleeting joy. Who buys a minute’s mirth to wail a week? Or sells eternity to get a toy? For one sweet grape who will the vine destroy??”

~~ William Shakespeare
