Rubble
ashes
debris
it’s what remains
on the residue
of time
ruins
wreckage
remnants of life
just dust
of yours and mine
residual
it’s what is left
like
uneaten
hungry words
fade to grey
in metal hearts
where each
beat is slightly
blurred
pieces left
and tatters right
strewn across
each thought
of we
if you look
for me
it’s what remains
in the
rubble of memory
