Let there be light and muscle!!!!

Spec my latest creative project. This involved the rerender of an original painting in Mandrill’s Gym, which was created by a former Disney artist. My digital composite was designed based that.

This was a first for me, but maybe not a last. It was fun, I learned a lot about making a sign that can bleed light, and it looks way cool. The machine now matches the huge acrylic painting in the gym. Let there be light and muscle!!!!

The Fall

I guess I do tend to fall on my sword more often than not, but if that phrase is equivalent to the word sacrifice… then I’m ok with that. I may give, bleed and sacrifice for just causes and I will give, bleed and sacrifie for those I love dearly. I do need to remember to save enough for myself though… under my windchimes or in a magical place and in the gym. Here is my newest digital composite including 11 layers and 3 masks.

Here is my latest digital composite. I think it may be one of my best yet. There is so much symbology here on so many levels. My head is a mysterious, dark and powerful place. This design took some intricate layering, blending techniques and other effects.

Blue for Valdez

Here is the tee shirt design I created for this year’s Valdez Family Reunion. The color blue has been the color worn by the members of my mom’s paternal line from Las Aguitas, New Mexico.

Frozen Reminder

Loved the latest season of Gotham. My favorite quote of the season was in the finale.  

Riddler… “Why didn’t you just kill me Oswald?”

Friendship Survey

I think from now on I’ll have people complete my new survey before we even become friends. It just helps insure that we’re on the right track you know? My friend since high school went through a draft of this survey with me. When we got to #9, she said “I plank” and we both laughed. I said “that works,” plus she owns a yoga studio. When we got to the end she goes “yes! I knew I was your friend” and we high 5’ed it!
