At Vitamin Shoppe, we earn a point for every dollar we spend. We have regularly redeemed the benefits of that with the help of our buds there, while not asking many questions. The shop recently added a new line to the receipt showing a grand total on the points.
I guess I didn’t recall it was a point we earned for every dollar we spend? When our bud pointed out how much we have spent and we were almost to 11gz… “I was like… gheeshush! That’s a small car!”
Well… gunz don’t grow on trees, but they do grow like trees if you water them with protein! I can’t complain (see FLASH Forward- Growth). Ohhh and 11 gz+…yeah… we are more than there now.
This receipt is from the first week in May. On that round, I scored sum Syntha-6, Cold Stone Creamery– Birthday Cake Remix. Yummy new stuff!

Seriously though… the chicken fried steak I made this weekend was amazing. I experimented using organic buckwheat and coconut flour to dust the steaks and coconut oil to cook them. This tasty idea is a keeper.

These are absolutely delicious and will always remind me of my friend Marlene. We recently shared a plate of these at Jinja. It’s steamed edamame, lemon juice and pulp, and coarse sea salt. This is a yummy dish with a green protein punch!

Loving Japanese eggplant is easy. I made this casserole with a lot of organic, 95% lean ground beef, Japanese eggplant slices, diced tomatoes, fat free ricotta and a little bit of shredded cheese. Eggplant is very low in calories and is a high source of dietary fiber + vitamin C, folate, potassium and other minerals. This nightshade plant is great for digestive support and is high in antioxidants. This was delish!

••Pre-blend pic of my concoction. This shake had almond milk, frozen blueberries, flaxseed oil, 40gz of protein, and ice. I need a new Bullet though!••
Twice a week, I’ve been putting two tablespoons of cold pressed flaxseed oil into my protein shakes. The Omega-3’s support heart health, as well as healthy skin, hair and nails. I don’t think it’s a supplement for daily consumption, but it’s good to take on deadlift day because it assists in the transmission of nerve impulses. That’s the main reason I’ve been using the oil on the day my CNS is severely tapped (especially since I moved dead day from the weekend to the work week to focus on bench and squat). It’s deadlift day! Yeah!!!! For breakfast… French toast made with Ezekiel 4:9 Cinnamon Raisin bread. It is a flourless, low glycemic, sprouted whole grain bread that is also a complete protein. The French toast had one tablespoon of peanut butter, a teaspoon of cinnamon, ¼ of a cup of vanilla almond/cashew milk, a teaspoon of Madagascar pure vanilla extract and 5 egg whites. Topped with ¼ of a cup of orange marmalade syrup. Delish!!!
