•Artistic memory of Stephanie gifted to me by her family•
☆☆☆☆☆
Close to three years ago, I captured this footage of a book I handcrafted in memory of an amazing woman for a family who loved her very much and lost her much to soon. She was a good, kind creative, and very beautiful woman who loved nature and animals. She had a good heart. Making this gave me an opportunity to learn more about a woman who embodied so many wonderful things throughout her life. She truly made a difference while she was on this Earth she respected. It was an honor to gift her family with a mini archive in her memory.
Call it an altar devoted to the gym if you will? This is how my organizational skills unfolded when 100+ tank tops had become seriously unmanageable in my closet. My Dr. Poison gas mask makes a perfect decorative highlight as it patiently awaits a visit to 2018 ABQ Comic-Con.
Here is my tombstone face plate for the Halloween graveyard at the Coltons. It says “relentless until her last breath.” I added a weight to the top. Made this on Monday, but got it to Christina late because of a busy week!

I think I have my idea ready for 2018 ABQ ComicCon and if work appropriate, potentially Halloween! I’m rolling with Dr. Poison this year. DC… Villainy Inc. baby!! Since I was feeling this gas masky villainess, I created a gas mask themed gym shred just for fun! Excited about becoming Dr. Poison and playing with creating a broken mask to disguise her scars. I liked her revamp in Wonder Woman. I’ll likely mashup the versions.
The dress is done. Thank you to Elena for her help securing the right dress since I’m not wearing a bikini! This is a dress she gave me because she thought it would work and she was right. I altered it a bit and used some metal wire to sew it in one place. Believe it or not, I will wear this dress backwards and it looks just right. I also ditched the straps and added a chain halter to the bra. Looks awesome!
I’m close to finished with the chain belt as well. Tomorrow night I’ll brain storm hair options. It’s my final piece of this cosplay to get in place before Saturday’s party with gym peeps. I know I can’t get it as long as her hair in Suicide Squad, but I’m experimenting with handmade extentions tomorrow night. I also gotta figure out what I’ll use to get my real hair black. Any ideas? I may end up ditching extentions and going with my real hair alone if experimentation fails!
•My nephew set up a little egg dying station and the boys are getting all creative. I thought it was funny that they looked all focused. So cute to see them all working together. Left to right- Daryn (my son), Isaiah (my Godson and nephew), and Richard (my son's friend)•
•••Felicia's preliminary designs for the jacket of a new book.•••
This week was a super busy week for me. I need more hours in the day!!!! I was slammed at work, had a bunch of meetings, straight killed it in the gym and then came home to work more every night until tonight! Most of my evening work was creative work, which is good, but I was up last night until after 2:00am. I am so tired. A two hour workout featuring bi, tri, shoulder and trap monster sets means I’m tired and wasted!
From Monday thru Thursday, I edited over 100 images for a Santa Fe author. She needed many things done in order to mail the beginning parts which will coincide with her manuscript to her publisher. The images needed to meet publishing specs. I also designed a mockup jacket for her upcoming book, which required a large amount of image extraction. It was a stressful, but fun project with many long nights!! Hopefully the publisher will run with my design.
The typical data project starts with the BA or systems architect asking: “fast, cheap or good – which one do you want?” But in my experience, no matter how much time you have, or how much money you are willing to throw at it, or what features you are willing to sacrifice, many initiatives are doomed to fail before you even start because of inherent obstacles – what I like to refer to as the 3L’s of data projects.
Reflecting on work I have been doing with various clients over the past few years, it seems to me that despite their commitment to invest in system upgrades, migrate their content to new delivery platforms and automate their data processing, they often come unstuck due to fundamental flaws in their existing operations:
This was the new batch of soaps I made a couple of weeks ago. Most of the bars were given to 5 fellow bodybuilders and the owner of my gym to soothe sore muscles. I also reserved a few for others I felt would appreciate them and who take the time to think about me. Over the last few years, I have significantly improved my soap making techniques. They were beautiful bars.
These are some mini memorials I made for some special ladies I know. There was one good friend who lost her father several years ago. One friend lost her son and another her mother during the holiday season this year. Another lost her mother, who was also a sister to yet another friend not long ago. They are all made with images of angels and the names of those lost, but never forgotten.
