HUSH: Harley Quinn is the Best Christmas Present

The holiday is over. It was fun, but I’m tired. My sister gave me the best and most thoughtful present I received this year. She scored me a Hush action figure set. The 12 part storyline for this series, written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Jim Lee, introduces the villain Hush. That’s not why I love it.

My sis got me the set because it features my *favorite* villainess. There stands Harley Quinn alongside Stealth Batman and the Joker (who isn’t really the “clown prince of crime”). My sister is so awesome!!! I loved her gift because she took time to be very thoughtful. I appreciate that.

I also laughed when I looked into the box for the first time. Of course!! Some would say that Harley’s place should be right near the Joker’s side…but neahhhhh…Batman is placed just rightfully so. Maybe it’s better that way? Gotta love the symbolic distance between Harley and the Joker.

Thank you 🙂 your gift was very thoughtful as well!!!

While Joker hugs the dummy, it motions to his eyes with his fingers to Harley, implying that it’s watching her and hinting that Joker may be intentionally using Scareface to mess with Harley’s love for him for his own amusement and to make Harley more vicious and erratic in leading his plans and operations. Scareface is also the perfect means of abuse that Joker needs, with Mugsy creating a new one every time Joker gets bored with one, freeing him to mutilate, torture, and destroy any puppet that failed to entertain him.
